MINORS ARE UNDERREPRESENTED IN MEDICAL RESEARCH
When researchers looked at the number of studies that were funded by the National Institutes of Health and allowed teens to participate. They only found around 84 of the total 338 studies included teens. That is only 25%!
Teen participation in HIV medical research is even lower. Less than 1% of medical HIV prevention research studies include teens.
