• HIV data found that 80% of all new youth HIV cases in 2018 were among MSM.

Also, research has found that transgender women are unequally affected by HIV in the United States:

• Transgender women make up a very small percentage of people in the country (about 0.5%). 

• Transgender women also make up about 14% of new HIV cases.
