WHAT IS A PUBLIC DELIBERATION?

What is a public deliberation?

Public deliberations are discussions where people talk through issues in policy. The goal is to create guidelines that consider research and community feedback.

During these discussions, regular citizens are invited to help solve a policy problem. They work with experts in the field to learn about the issue and the research on it. They also listen to the different opinions of the community to create new ideas for fixing the issues.

These discussions are a great way to create new ways of solving issues because it gives regular citizens the chance to share their voices.
