INTERSECTIONALITY OF RACE, GENDER, & SEXUAL ORIENTATION

Young LGBTQ+ youth who are Black and/or Latinx experience poor treatment for multiple reasons such as their age, race, and LGBTQ+ identities. Current systems of power prioritize white, cisgender, and straight individuals over people of color and LGBTQ+ people. The intersections of race, gender, and sexual orientation intensifies the poor treatment these youth face.
